Wenger Swiss Army Fragrance

Wenger has established itself as a premier name in Swiss Army knives and multitools.  They have even just this year introduced the largest Swiss knife ever made.  Well it appears that they want to share the sweet smell of their recent successes with the world in the form of body lotions, colognes and perfumes.

Yes, this has nothing to do with pocket knives, but when one of the largest Swiss pocket knife companies in the world is dipping their toes into the realm of bath and body products, that definitely is worth noting.  Just what items do they have for the lady in your life, how about this: a body lotion, deodorant stick, perfume and shower gel.  And the real news is that the body lotion and smaller 1.7 ounce perfume is actually out of stock.  That indicates that the products are selling fairly well.  After getting over my initial reaction and slight laughter at a company trying to promote their own Swiss Army fragrance, since I can't quite picture any army having a pleasant fragrance, (despite Apocalypse Now's famous line to the contrary), I now actually get it.  The packaging is simple yet memorable.  And Swiss products do have a cache here in the US that is unmistakable; from Swiss Miss Cocoa to Swiss moisturizers, Swiss sells.  Wenger I believe has found a very profitable niche for their company and despite the naysayers that would say to stick with your core products, I think that this foray into bath products will actually be a great proposition for the company and will further the brand.
