Gerber Rescue Knife for Firefighters by Hinderer

Gerber Hinderer was designed by Rick Hinderer with the firefighter in mind.
This is a firefighter's knife that was actually designed by a firefighter. Will
you be wearing heavy turn out gloves? No problem. This particular folder,
Gerber product number 1534 has a firefighter red handle, and is loaded with
rescue features. The 3.5" blade is made out of stainless steel and is
serrated to cut easily through rope. The locking mechanism is a sturdy
liner lock. The handled end of the knife comes with a window
punch/breaker, a lanyard ring, and a hinged seat belt cutter that can also be
used to cut through clothing in a rescue situation. This unique hinged
cutter can be quickly opened or folded back into the handle of the knife.
And additionally there is a slot created in the middle portion of the knife
that functions as an oxygen tank wrench. The knife comes complete with a
tool kit that features an assortment of drill bits as well as a nylon sheath
with the Gerber logo.
This knife not only can save lives, it has won awards. This well
designed rescue knife has won the "Best of Adventure Gear" Award in 2006 by
National Geographic's Adventure Magazine and also was a winner of the 2006
International Knife Award. It has been featured and mentioned in a number
