Beretta Loveless Hunter Whitetail Collector
Beretta made the name of this knife a mouthful, even while leaving the
etching designer out of name. Despite the long name, this knife appears to
a well thought our collectors knife complete with a glass topped maple case and
an attractive quince handle.
The name is an extension of a few things. Beretta is of course is the
brand of this knife; a company that goes back five centuries making firearms.
Loveless refers to the knifemaking legend Bob Loveless, and hunter refers to the
type of knife of which Loveless has created a great many fine examples.
Whitetail refers to the etching pattern that was carefully designed by Michael
Collins, a renowned knife artist, whose blade etching has been beautifully
filled with gold leaf. And lastly Collector is owed to the fact that this
knife is limited to only 1,000 knives.
This knife is scheduled to ship on September 10th under the stock number
JK601A02 and retails for $350. It is hard not to bet on a company that has
been in business for 500 years- thus this knife is most likely a good bet.
