New Leatherman Folding Knife
August 30, 2007
Leatherman is extending their well known brand into folding knives.
Designed with a carabiner to clip in place or just to carry in your pocket,
these unique production knives are guaranteed to find a following.
One of the gems of the Leatherman e-series knives is undoubtedly the
e302/e303, which features a patent-pending carabiner that not only folds back
like any other pocket knife blade, the carabiner also locks into place like a
lockable blade. And if you do not quite think that this knife is novel
yet, how about the fact that the end of the carabiner doubles as a bottle opener
(handy for those times when you are on the edge of a cliff with a backpack full
of bottles and no openers)
And to further assert their innovative thinking, Leatherman put their "Blade
Launcher" design on this knife which allows you to open the blade quickly and
smoothly with the flick of a finger. Furthermore, when the blade is out,
the finger tab disappears into the handle. You also get a Phillips
screwdriver and a 1/4" flat screwdriver, and removable pocket clip.
The blade is 420SS with a locking liner mechanism and a straight blade on the
e302 or a combo straight and serrated blade on the model e303.
And if you want to pimp your knife, you can add a removable bit driver set
which comes complete with a driver, five double sided bits and a nylon or
optional leather sheath.
For an even sleeker look with many of the aforementioned features, take a
look at the e304x/e305x and the e306x/e307x.
